Job Overview: This level of Occupational Health Nurse floats to various sites and assumes special project work for the SHARE Occupational Health Program. Occupational health nurses collaborate with workers, employers, and other professionals to: identify health needs; prioritize interventions; develop and implement interventions and programs; and evaluate care and service delivery. The practice focuses on promotion, protection, and restoration of workers’ health within the context of a safe and healthy work environment. The foundation for occupational health nursing practice is research-based with an emphasis on optimizing health, preventing illness and injury and reducing health hazards.
