Overview Uses nursing processes and knowledge of scientific principles to provide nursing care for hospital employees. Provides health related services, health education, and first aid. Promotes screening and immunization programs to prevent spread of communicable diseases. Monitors employee immunity to protect patients and employees. Promotes accident and illness prevention. Provides health and wellness instruction. Coordinates the hospital's workers' compensation program. Works collaboratively with the Infection Prevention and Control Department to safeguard staff from hospital acquired illness. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 3-5 years experience Adult nursing care experience
  • Bachelor's Degree BSN and 1-2 years experience Adult nursing care experience
  • Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
  • Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications

Nice To Haves

  • COHN Certified Occupational Health Nurse COHN or COHN-S Preferred Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical services utilizing the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policy, regulatory requirements, and within the boundaries of the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Coordinates and manages the hospital?s workers? compensation program utilizing the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policy, regulatory requirements, and within the boundaries of the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Participates in the hospital?s committees related to employee safety and wellness, as requested.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and/or participates in employee health and wellness education and training.
