Provides patient care in an office setting under the supervision of the medical provider. Meets the communication needs of the employee/patient, employer, and medical provider. Occupational Health Nurses are responsible for many functions in their role that is significant to the investigation, treatment, and prevention of workplace-related injuries and illnesses. Conducts physical assessments and drug screening for pre-employment. Maintains and follows regulatory requirement and policies and procedures. Communicates with medical providers, employers, and staff about patient’s clinical condition.
