The Occupational Health Intern will support the Occupational Health Nurse Manager in collaboration with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Security. This internship offers hands-on exposure to occupational health compliance, workers’ compensation program management, workplace wellness operations, and corporate safety initiatives. The intern will contribute to operational improvement projects, compliance tracking, documentation organization, and employee health programming within a regulated corporate environment. This position is ideal for students pursuing nursing, public health, healthcare administration, occupational health, safety sciences, or related disciplines. Key Responsibilities Occupational Health Compliance Support Assist in maintaining compliance with occupational health and workers’ compensation deliverables. Support documentation tracking to ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards. Assist with audit preparation and documentation review. Help update occupational health policies, procedures, and internal tracking systems. Support data integrity and quality assurance initiatives. Workers’ Compensation Program Support Lead structured project to organize and standardize historical workers’ compensation files. Assist in reviewing files for completeness and compliance documentation. Support digital organization and secure archiving of records. Help identify process improvement opportunities within the workers’ compensation workflow. Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant handling of protected information. EHS & Security Collaboration Support cross-functional initiatives related to site growth and safety. Assist with documentation coordination between Occupational Health, EHS, and Security. Participate in project tracking and status updates. Support safety-related reporting and compliance documentation as directed. Wellness & Employee Health Initiatives Support the Wellness Committee in planning and executing employee health initiatives. Assist in updating Occupational Health and EHS content on the company intranet. Help develop educational materials for employee health campaigns. Support coordination of wellness events and communications. Operational & Administrative Projects Assist with metrics tracking and reporting. Participate in process improvement initiatives within Occupational Health. Support development of standardized workflows and documentation systems. Contribute to special projects aligned with departmental growth.
