About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the team in Everett, WA. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join The Boeing Company in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) division, located in the beautiful Puget Sound region. This role is critical in ensuring the health and safety of our workforce while promoting environmental stewardship across our global range of commercial aircraft, including the Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) program, 777, and BCA fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the successful applicant will help drive initiatives that minimize environmental impact and enhance workplace safety, contributing to Boeing's commitment to a sustainable future in aviation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment
  • 1+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
  • 1+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Public Health, etc.)
  • 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes
  • Develops and provides training and instructions
  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
  • Plans and conducts health and safety audits
  • Oversees non-product LOTTO, fall protection, crane systems, and transportation regulatory safety practices
