Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense and Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the Environment, Health and Safety's (EHS) team in Mesa, AZ . Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 2 and Level 3 specialists to find the best fit for the position. Position Responsibilities: Prepares compliance and technical reports to meet Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements Performs program reviews, investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of incidents Evaluates workplace hazards Provides input to new business opportunities and facilities projects to ensure compliance Conducts education and training to support regulatory and business requirements Evaluates impact of new regulations on company operations Reviews vendor, contractor and supplier activities for EHS compliance for site processes and program goals Provides technical assistance on EHS issues and regulations Prioritizes EHS efforts in order to have the greatest impact on the number and severity of incidents Connects with management when a work operation needs modification or suspension due to an EHS issue Assists in implementation of EHS programs Prepares and distributes monthly EHS meeting presentations and metrics Monitors the progress of corrective action plans

  • 1+ year of experience working in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)
  • 1+ year of experience assessing and evaluating risk
  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety-related field
  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
