The Occupational and Employee Health Nurse Practitioner (OEH NP) plays a critical role in supporting employee health by delivering comprehensive employee health services for the hospital, including pre-employment medical clearance screenings, administering required immunizations, managing work related injuries and exposures, evaluating return to work clearance, and other periodic OEH evaluations. The OEH NP also participates in and can lead OEH programs and projects, such as annual flu vaccination and fit testing campaigns. The Nurse Practitioner independently manages clinical decision-making, coordinates referrals and follow-ups, and partners with departments across the organization. This position is essential to maintaining a healthy workforce, and functions under limited supervision within the broader strategic goals of the occupational and employee health service.
