About The Position
The Occupancy and Recertification Specialist at Kuhio Park Terrace is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of affordable housing. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining the property waitlist, conducting applicant interviews to determine eligibility, and scheduling resident recertification interviews. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The specialist will also ensure the proper calculation of income, assets, and rent levels, as well as coordinate apartment inspections for recertifications. Maintaining resident files in accordance with company and regulatory agency policies is essential, along with assisting office staff with various tasks, including social media marketing. The role involves collaboration with maintenance staff to ensure timely move-ins and move-outs, and adherence to safety standards while working around cleaning solvents, paint fumes, and landscaping chemicals. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, totaling 40 hours per week.
