About The Position

The Office of Community Care Services (OCCS) seeks a detail‑oriented professional to provide comprehensive administrative support to OCCS Management by applying knowledge of federal and state rules, departmental policies, and program requirements. This position executes special projects, develops and maintains effective tracking systems for materials related to Division activities, and oversees all incoming and outgoing correspondence to ensure timely processing, accurate documentation, and adherence to communication standards. The role also performs additional duties as assigned that align with the scope of these responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
  • Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
  • Requires ability to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers 2 years of experience working within a social services program.
  • Prefers 2 years of experience utilizing common office software.
  • Prefers 2 years of experience proofreading correspondence.
  • Prefers one year of experience of working with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the Office of Community Care Services (OCCS) Management staff by applying knowledge and understanding of the federal and state rules, policies and procedures of the Department and the programs which are funded through various legislation at the State and Federal levels.
  • Executes special projects and provides comprehensive administrative support as directed.
  • Develops and maintains an effective means of tracking materials related to Division activities from internal and external offices.
  • Oversees and manages all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Office of Community Care Services (OCCS), ensuring timely processing, accurate documentation, and adherence to professional communication standards.
  • Performs other duties as required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
