About The Position

We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Wadsworth, IL 60083 A lovely family in Wadsworth seeks an occasional babysitter for their two children, ages 5 and 8 years, for an immediate start. Backup care is needed intermittently throughout the summer months on weekdays between the hours of 8am to 3pm. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family’s needs, but should understand there are no guaranteed hours for this position . Start date: June 2026 or sooner Length of Position: End of summer Schedule: Intermittent care – no guaranteed hours Typical needs: Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm Compensation: $30 per hour + gas reimbursement

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience
• CPR certified, or willing to become certified
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
• Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record & valid auto insurance
• Reliable vehicle to transport the children

Responsibilities

• Driving children to and from summer camps (occasional drop-offs and pick-ups)
• Engaging the children in fun, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
• Taking walks to a nearby park
