Management Level: Class 1 This person reports to the Packaging Supervisor and is responsible For maintaining the correct bags and supplies for each grade change during the shift. This will include ordering the bags from supply and keeping track of the inventory. Failure to maintain a steady supply of the correct bags could result in downtime while the correct bags are located or the use of a different bag, creating an ineffective cost of bags. will review the packaging report daily and make necessary adjustments to help reduce costs. will monitor the bag sizing and any problems in the leaker bins, reporting all issues to the packaging supervisor. must be able to start before the rest of the packaging team members set up supplies and stay after shift to complete the daily manifest. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Prefer High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Prefer at least 1 year experience in the packaging dept of beef facility, with a good knowledge of the product codes and the different grades of the product. Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in all areas of communication; verbal, written and writing; Must be able to communicate to the manager of the department, other managers, team members, material handling, etc. Will attend the weekly packaging meeting to discuss the previous weeks’ expenses and any cost savings initiatives. Special Skills: Must have good math skills. Plant Specific requirements: Prefer applicant have completed their 90 day probationary period. Must have a good attendance record(less than 5 points) Must have a good work record(no disciplines greater than counseling) The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
