About The Position

University Health Physicians, the academic group practice for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine seeks a full time faculty member for the Department of Ob/GYN at University Health Women’s Care (UHWC) in Lee’s Summit, Missouri with hospital privileges at Truman Medical Center – Lakewood. UHWC provides the expertise of academic medicine in a private practice setting. The practice includes 5 certified Nurse Midwives and 2 WHNP’s. The ideal candidate is a BC/BE Ob/Gyn physician who provides excellent full scope obstetric and gynecologic care, in the office and hospital. The selected candidate would join a group of Ob/Gyn specialists, a female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon, a gynecologist oncologist and 2 certified nurse midwives, in a beautiful suburban setting. Opportunities for medical student and resident education, in-office procedures and daVinci robotic surgery are also available. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with background. In addition to a busy residency program of 32 residents, the Department of OB/GYN, primarily located in Kansas City, Missouri, has a Maternal-fetal Medicine fellowship program, a newly accredited Urogynecology and Female Reproductive Surgery fellowship, as well as exciting opportunities for research and academic achievement.
