The Department of Surgery and Specialty Medicine at the Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine (IllinoisCOM) is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician educator and leader to serve as founding faculty in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN). This part-time (0.60 FTE) position is open to candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. Academic rank to be determined by The Chicago School & Illinois COM academic rank policy. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated educator, accomplished clinician, and innovative leader with expertise in OBGYN. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the OBGYN curriculum, support faculty recruitment and development, and foster a collaborative, student-focused environment that aligns with the mission and values of the IllinoisCOM and The Chicago School. The Section Chief will lead curriculum development and innovation, clinical partnerships, research initiatives, and community engagement to ensure the IllinoisCOM’s program trains physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that integrates both physical and mental health. The anticipated start date for this position is June 1, 2026.
