We offer competitive pay, great benefits with a culture to match. POSITION SUMMARY 1. Works within a multi-disciplinary care team to provide patient-centered obstetric and gynecologic care. Provides patient care to approximately 20 patients per full day of clinic. Provides clinical leadership within the team. 2. Works within our call team of FM-OB and OB-Gyn physicians. Monitors and treats patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including delivery and postnatal care. 3. Expected patient care includes • Outpatient clinic • Inpatient Labor call • GYN surgery and surgical follow-up • OB Backup 4. Participates in organizational mission to provide distinctively Christian healthcare 5. Participates in continuing medical education, including Life Support Training, to maintain the skills necessary to perform physician duties and as required by applicable medical boards and the State. 6. Documents all patient encounters in a timely manner in hospital and/or clinic health record. 7. Communicates across departments including behavioral and spiritual health. 10. Attends staff meetings and medical provider meetings and maintain a level of involvement with the health center committees as needed to ensure quality of care for patients. 8. Physicians are to participate in peer review, performance evaluations/improvement data, and other activities to evaluate and advance quality improvement measures. 9. Collaborate with and supervises nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) as appropriate, and may assist in the educational training of Medical Students and Residents. 10. Other duties as assigned by the Chair of Medicine

Requirements

  • Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree from an accredited institution of medicine or osteopathy
  • Completion of residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Board Certification (or eligible) in obstetrics and gynecology
  • State licensure to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee
