About The Position

As an Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Saint Anthony Hospital, your role is multifaceted, focusing on the comprehensive care of women's reproductive health. You'll serve as a trusted advisor and healthcare provider, guiding women through every stage of their reproductive journey with compassion and expertise. Your responsibilities include: Obstetric Care: Providing prenatal care, overseeing labor and delivery, and supporting new mothers through the postpartum period. You'll monitor the health of both mother and baby, addressing any concerns or complications that may arise during pregnancy and childbirth. Gynecologic Care: Offering preventive screenings, such as Pap smears and pelvic exams, to detect early signs of gynecologic conditions. You'll diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecologic issues, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and reproductive system cancers. Family Planning Services: Counseling patients on contraception options and family planning strategies tailored to their individual needs and preferences. You'll empower women to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and contraceptive choices. Menopausal Management: Supporting women through the transition to menopause by addressing symptoms such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and mood changes. You'll offer personalized treatment plans to alleviate discomfort and improve quality of life during this life stage. Surgical Expertise: Performing surgical procedures, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and minimally invasive surgeries, with precision and skill. You'll prioritize patient safety and strive for optimal surgical outcomes, utilizing the latest advancements in surgical techniques and technology. Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Medical doctorate degree along with postgraduate training in orthopedic surgery.
  • Completion of medical residency and board certified in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong initiative and medical judgment and decision-making skills.
