About The Position

Join our Women’s Health team at our Faribault Clinic and delivery services at Owatonna Hospital. Our providers deliver exceptional, whole-person care for women in a diverse regional community setting. Our services include dedicated multi-specialty medical staff, obstetrical care, newborn care, and gynecology. Key Position Details: Our Women's Health Clinical Service Line works to provide world class care, outcomes and experiences for the combined services of mothers, babies and families. Women’s Health Services We Offer: Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Health Integrative and Holistic Medicine Perinatal Mental Health and Behavioral Health Preventive Care and Wellness Services Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Support in Urogynecology Practice Highlights 8 labor and delivery sites with 11,713 + deliveries/year 45 OB/GYNs, 28 OB/OBGYN Hospitalists, 23 CNMs, 16 MFM specialists, and 2 fetal interventionalists & 2 Urogynecologists Nursing support for triage, prescription refills, initial OB intakes, in basket help Pap hub for pap result management and communication for entire Allina system After-hours answering service Abbott Northwestern (Level IV NICU) and Mercy and United Hospitals (Level III NICUs) and six regional hospitals Clinical and surgical mentorship and collaboration with over 80+ OB/GYN providers across the system Work-life balance & manageable call coverage At Allina Health, we’re redefining women’s health by putting patients at the center of everything we do while empowering our patients to improve their wellness. Requirements

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA within Obstetrics and Gynecology upon hire
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
  • BLS Tier 3 - required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care for obstetrics and gynecology patients which may include specializing in areas of general medicine, the reproductive system, pregnancy and childbirth both inpatient and outpatient.
  • Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
