About The Position

The University of Illinois Chicago is seeking an Obstetrician and Gynecologist for an open rank faculty position within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This role involves teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows while providing high-quality obstetric and gynecological care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general OB/GYN, including ambulatory care, gynecologic surgery, and inpatient obstetrical care, and will be expected to contribute to the department's educational and clinical missions.

Requirements

• MD degree or equivalent.
• Licensed as a physician in Illinois.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Experience in general obstetrics and gynecology.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching/supervising and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate experience and excellence in general obstetrics and gynecology, including ambulatory care, gynecologic surgery, and obstetrical care.
• Provide in-house Labor and Delivery and Obstetrical Emergency Room coverage as attending physician.
• Teach, supervise, and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Serve on committees as nominated by Department leadership.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
