About The Position

HRMC is seeking a self-motivated, resourceful and forward-thinking leader to join our nursing leadership team. The Obstetrical Services Patient Coordinator plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the activities of OB/Peds nursing services. The Obstetrical Services Patient Coordinator completes these responsibilities in a manner, which is consistent with the mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives of Huron Regional Medical Center. Accountable for nursing care from admission through post-discharge. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in the State of South Dakota.
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience, including progressively responsible experience in nursing management.
  • Following a formal orientation, proficiency expected within six months.
  • Knowledge of current trends in nursing/health care.
  • Constantly requires a high degree of social sensitivity and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, groups of clients, and health care personnel within and outside the agency.
  • Proceeds on own initiative, exercises independent judgement.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities; possesses good oral and written communication skills.
