About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Observability Engineer with hands-on expertise in Dynatrace and enterprise observability solutions. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks across large-scale distributed systems. This role requires a strong technical foundation, experience in automation and infrastructure as code, and the ability to work collaboratively in complex, cloud-based environments.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with Dynatrace (Managed and/or SaaS) in design, instrumentation, and administration.
  • Practical experience with enterprise observability tools (Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Datadog, OpenSearch, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting methodologies for distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript, or Java (preferred).
  • Experience with automation and IaC tools for infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Working knowledge of GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence for collaboration and workflow management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Dynatrace Query Language (DQL), container technologies, and CI/CD frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement observability frameworks supporting enterprise-scale applications and infrastructure.
  • Configure, instrument, and administer Dynatrace Managed and/or SaaS environments for performance monitoring and analytics.
  • Develop and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Datadog, OpenSearch, and similar tools.
  • Establish and maintain observability best practices across infrastructure, application, and service layers.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance visibility into system performance and reliability.
  • Integrate observability tools into CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Support cloud-native operations across AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.
  • Document designs, dashboards, and processes using tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and GitHub.
