About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete orders by selecting food items from serving or storage areas; cooking food items; placing on tray or container Prepare food for sale at outlets and catered events using flat top grills, fryers, steam tables, ovens, and additional equipment Set up kitchens with necessary equipment and products, and maintain product levels throughout the shift Prepare food and expedite orders on time following a kitchen display system Maintain customer satisfaction and confidence by protecting food quality, meeting service expectations, and finding ways to please customers Maintain a clean serving area by organizing and removing spills and food scraps Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing food safety standards and procedures Clean and sanitize the kitchen, cooking utensils and store equipment correctly at the end of shifts Crosstrain in multiple food and beverage outlets Provide superior customer service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner Assist customers with questions regarding Ocean Breeze Waterpark Follow park policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age Experience working in a food service kitchen required Ability to accept guidance and supervision Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership Be aware, attentive, and work well with others Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment Ability to work in indoor kitchen conditions while taking precautions, including hydration Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to 60 pounds individually and more than 60 pounds as part of a team lift. We also offer a retention bonus of up to $500 for team members that average a certain number of hours per week during the qualifying time period and work through a specified date. • Experience working in a food service kitchen required
