About The Position

Capital Women's Care is a premier OB/GYN network serving the Greater Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland region. Our GYN Oncology division (MAGOPSA) is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our busy practice. Full-Time | Fairfax, VA

Requirements

  • Master's Degree and successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certification and active license as a Nurse Practitioner (Required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience (Gynecologic Oncology preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for assigned patients in collaboration with supervising physicians, following established clinical standards, procedures, and protocols.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical and oncology patients, including post-surgical management.
  • Prescribe and manage drug therapies under physician direction and in accordance with clinical protocols.
  • Conduct health assessments for patients with acute and chronic health conditions, with a focus on gynecologic oncology.
  • Initiate and interpret selected diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, consultations, and laboratory studies.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate collaborative practice agreements in designated clinical areas.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment options, surgical care, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff and support ongoing education and training initiatives.
  • Stay current with developments in oncology and evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in approved clinical research studies as appropriate.
