As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in OBGYN at Minden Medical Center, you will begin each day by conducting comprehensive patient assessments, gathering medical histories, and performing physical examinations. Your role will include interpreting diagnostic tests and collaborating with Physicians to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. You will provide patient education on Women's health, medications, and lifestyle modifications, fostering a strong patient-provider relationship. Daily responsibilities will also involve documenting patient interactions in our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and innovative practices, and engage in continuous learning to stay updated on Women's Health advancements. Requirements

  • Active Louisiana APRN license with Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) designation
  • National certification through ANCC or AANP
  • Collaborative Practice Agreement with a licensed physician as required by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
  • Current DEA license if prescribing controlled substances OR Active Louisiana PA license with Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME)
  • Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Collaborative Practice Agreement with a licensed physician as required by the Louisiana State Board of Medicine
  • Current DEA license if prescribing controlled substances
