About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a board eligible or board-certified Laborist for a full-time faculty position. The successful candidate will join a robust and growing department that includes a multidisciplinary team of labor and delivery physicians (Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, Academic Specialists/Generalists, and Midwifery faculty). Candidates should be committed to a team-based perinatal care model that prioritizes patient safety, high-quality outcomes, and effective communication. Requirements

  • Board-eligible/board-certified OBGYN with the ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Maryland
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide meaningful exposure to a wide variety of obstetric cases, with opportunities for continued learning and professional growth
  • Actively engage involvement in teaching residents, interns, and medical students
  • Opportunity to care for an underserved patient population in a collaborative, patient-centered, mission-driven environment
  • Join a large, collegial group of labor and delivery physicians, MFMs, Academic Specialists (Generalists), and Midwives
  • Engage in departmental, hospital, and university committee work and contribute to ongoing research and quality/safety initiatives
