The position involves managing the operation of the Business Diversity and Compliance Office (OBDC) under the direction of the Office of Business & Compliance Director. Responsibilities include financial planning, human resources management, and contract oversight. The role requires preparing the Office's Operating Budget, developing monthly budget reports, and managing the contracting process. The individual will also be responsible for improving procurement processes, managing human resources, and collaborating with the Information Technology Division to resolve technical issues. Additional duties include preparing correspondence, maintaining administrative records, and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements.

  • Manage the operation of the Business Diversity and Compliance Office (OBDC).
  • Provide work direction, assignment of duties, evaluation of work performance, and discipline of assigned staff.
  • Prepare the Office's Operating Budget and presentations for the budget approval process.
  • Research and draft responses to inquiries from Administration or Council.
  • Develop monthly budget reports and monitor monthly forecasting reports.
  • Prepare and submit budget line-item transfers and documentation.
  • Provide executive management with recommendations on financial implications.
  • Manage the contracting process for the OBDC Office.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of OBDC Office operations.
  • Improve productivity and enhance effectiveness of processes.
  • Act as a lead to improve procurement processes.
  • Manage all aspects of human resources for the OBDC Office.
  • Develop and implement evaluation and metrics to assess performance.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology Division for technical issue resolution.
  • Perform financial analysis on special projects.
  • Create and prepare correspondence, memoranda, and reports.
  • Collect data and maintain administrative records and confidential files.
  • Coordinate, arrange, and confirm meetings and events.
  • Develop itineraries and make travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and process requisitions, purchase orders, and accounts payable requests.
  • Prepare and maintain staff attendance and time off records.
  • Attend meetings and represent the OBDC as directed.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Nine (9) years' experience in financial matters, budget preparation, and financial analysis.
