About The Position

The OB Technician will scrub for surgical procedures for C-Sections and will provide personal care and comfort to patients in the Delivery Room. When the Operating Rooms are quiet, you are trained to provide patient care for new moms / moms-to-be. Additional responsibilities will include: restocking supplies, cleaning and preparing rooms, transporting patients, and completing tasks for the health care team. Develop and Grow your Career! This position is eligible for up to $6,000 per year based upon your Full or Part Time status. Get Involved! And employee parking is always free! Position: OB Tech Shift: Nights. 36 hours weekly,7:00pm- 7:30am, weekend and holidays rotational based on unit needs.

Requirements

Previous surgical tech or Patient Care Technician experience preferred
Successful completion of a surgical technologist program sponsored by an entity holding nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation, or through the US Army, Navy, or Air Force.
Certification preferred, if surgical technician training occurred on or before 12/29/2020 and candidate practiced clinically at any time during the two preceding years.
Certification required if surgical training took place on or after 12/29/2020
MLH may employ or contract an ST who does not meet the requirements above (from section 501HB81) to practice surgical technology if: (1) after a diligent and thorough effort has been made, the facility is unable to employ or contract with a sufficient number of qualified STs who meet the requirements of section 501; and (2) the health care facility makes a written record of its efforts under (1) and retains the record at the facility.
This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.
