As an OB Tech on our team, you will assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. May perform direct and indirect patient care including vitals, hygiene measures, and basic care for antepartum, postpartum and newborn patients. OB Techs functions include: Assists with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. Functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit. Assists with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. Performs clerical and business support tasks as assigned. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. Previous Scrub experience required- 1yr min Previous experience with OB procedures highly preferred 15 LDRP Beds, 3 Triage Rooms, 2 OR Suites, 5 NICU Rooms 80-100 births per month Schedule: PRN- Variable Days of the week and shift starts per volume and current unit needs. TBD during interviews with unit Manager. Per policy PRN requires a Min availability for 5 shifts in a 6 week schedule block and 2 holidays per yr. Call not required but extra shifts may be available

Requirements

• One-year patient care experience preferred, i.e. OB Tech, LPN/LVN, EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant or Surgical Tech experience
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic computer skills
• High School graduate or GED
• Completion of a Surgical Tech program, preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
• Colorado Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technician upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only)
• Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with OB procedures highly preferred
