About The Position

An OB Technician I performs specific tasks related to patient care in the Obstetrical Unit as delegated by a Registered Professional Nurse. Assists in the nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient, functions as a member of the sterile team in preparing for intra-operative care, assisting the surgeon and maintaining the sterile field.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One of the following is required:
  • - 1. Successful and proof of completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum that meets the minimum training standards as outlined in 19 CSR 30-20.125OR
  • - 2. Is certified as a nursing assistant as defined in section 198.082, RSMo. OR
  • - 3. Has a minimum of two (2) years documented experience as a Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Surgical Technician in the past three (3) years
  • BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital or nursing home experience
  • Previous electronic charting experience
