About The Position

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, Clinical Coordinator or Circulator, the OB Technician is responsible for assisting licensed staff in providing patient care. This includes assisting before, during, and after deliveries with patient and room care, sterile set up, and cleaning. The OB Technician also assists the RN with transporting patients and belongings as directed, as well as performing clerical duties or other tasks as assigned to facilitate the continuum of care for each patient.

Requirements

• Current BLS provider card
• Completion of Surgical Scrub Program with certification
• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent
• 1-2 years recent OBT experience in a busy L&D unit preferred

Nice To Haves

• Current NRP Certification preferred
• Model Hospital educational requirements preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in providing patient care before, during, and after deliveries.
• Prepare and maintain sterile setups for procedures.
• Clean and care for patient rooms and equipment.
• Transport patients and their belongings as directed by the RN.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned to support patient care.
