Evenings OB/PEDS Clinical Instructor
About The Position
The International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) is seeking dedicated and skilled OB/PEDs Nursing Instructor to join our academic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced nursing professionals to instruct and supervise nursing students in clinical patient care settings. Purpose The Clinical Instructor provides direct supervision and instruction to nursing students during their clinical rotations in various patient care environments. This role ensures students develop practical skills, clinical judgment, and professional behaviors necessary for safe and effective patient care.
Requirements
- Unencumbered Florida or Compact State RN License required
- Minimum 4 years clinical experience as an RN required
- Minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge in nursing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and foster student growth
- Proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct
- Must reside within commuting distance of Boynton Beach, FL
- This is not a remote position; on-site presence at clinical locations is required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience in clinical instruction, preceptorship, or nursing education preferred
- Simulation Experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing students in clinical settings
- Demonstrate and teach best practices in nursing care
- Ensure student compliance with clinical site policies and procedures
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and document student performance
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with academic leadership to deliver clinical objectives aligned with course outcomes
- Integrate evidence-based practices and current nursing standards into instruction
- Participate in the development and evaluation of clinical curriculum as needed
- Serve as a liaison between ICHS, clinical site staff, and students
- Maintain open, professional communication with faculty, administration, and clinical partners
- Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of student attendance, progress, and evaluations
- Report any student or site concerns to the appropriate academic leadership
- Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation standards
