Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is seeking an OB Hospitalist to join our collegial team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. The Opportunity: Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH) recently launched an OB Hospitalist program to enhance obstetric care and help build a stronger maternal safety net in Interior Alaska. With approximately 1,000 births annually, FMH serves as the only community hospital for more than 350 miles, providing crucial support to Alaska residents and nearby military installations. This role involves close collaboration with local OBs to ensure consistent, experienced care for every expectant mother who enters our facility. Our women and infant services unit offers a centralized location for maternal and newborn care, featuring a triage room we plan to convert to an OB ED, a fully equipped operating suite for Cesarean deliveries, and additional capacity in the hospital's 7-room OR down the hall. Our Level II NICU is staffed by pediatric hospitalists and nurses with neonatal training, providing support for infants who need a higher level of care. This position is well suited for physicians who are motivated by meaningful challenges and driven to make a lasting impact those who feel called to help improve a community and grow alongside it.
