About The Position
DocStar Medical Partners - Job Opportunity, New Listing Facility City & State: Monroe, NY Facility Type: Hospital and Clinic Provider Profession Needed: DO or MD Specialty: OB/GYN Start Date: Big needs start May, if providers want to start sooner, they will be able to credential in time and schedule prior. End Date: Ongoing need Length of Assignment: The client would like a minimum commitment of 3 months. There will be an extension offer if it is a good fit, so they will also take candidates wanting 6, 9, or 12 month contracts. Credentialing Timeframe: 3 weeks for the hospital (L+D) and 1 week for clinic Work Schedule: Client is looking for a minimum of 4-8 clinic shifts (8:30 - 4:30) per month and 2-4 L+D shifts per month (24hrs). Client heavily prefers candidates that will do both. This is the minimum requirement and what they will not consider flying candidates in for. If your providers will do 2 weeks a month or more, the client will fly them in (8-10 Clinic and 2-4 L+D) Patient Volume: 1,500 babies annually L+D; clinic volume varies, approx. 15-20 PPD Procedures: Provider needs to be able to perform all OB procedures. If sending candidates who cannot do all procedures, PLEASE make sure to highlight what they cannot do. EMR: E-clinical Works License Needed: Client stronly prefers NY licensed candidates. Will consider non-licensed candidates that can do 2-3 weeks per month and will commit to a longer contract length. Certifications Needed: BC/BE OB/GYN Relevant Experience/Skill Set Needed: Experience working with Hasidic Jews (No required, preferred) OB/GYN in both clinic and L+D settings Will be sole physician in clinic with LPN and Mid-Wives Other additional pertinent information: There is a very heavy Hasidic Jew population surrounding this hospital. The locum MUST be open minded and respectful of the community. Average age of women giving birth is 14-21 yrs old. This an underserved community, great opportunity to give back to the community 4% C-section rate
