About The Position

We are seeking a mission-driven, collaborative Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to join our Federally Qualified Health Center in a full-time outpatient role. This position is ideal for an experienced OB-GYN who is passionate about advancing equitable, high-quality women’s health care in a community-based setting. This role does not include hospital-based deliveries. The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient prenatal and gynecologic care while helping strengthen and refine our women’s health program infrastructure. The OB-GYN will work closely with the Medical Director to enhance clinical quality, improve care transitions, and support interdisciplinary team development within our FQHC model.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience.
  • Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an FQHC or safety-net setting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other language reflective of the community served).
  • Experience utilizing clinical quality data to drive program improvement.
  • Demonstrated collaborative spirit and comfort in interdisciplinary team-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient prenatal care.
  • Deliver full-scope gynecologic services including preventive exams and well-woman visits.
  • Provide contraceptive counseling and management, including LARC placement and removal (IUDs, implants).
  • Diagnose and manage abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, menopause-related conditions, and common gynecologic disorders.
  • Perform in-office procedures such as colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, cervical procedures, and other minor gynecologic interventions.
  • Conduct cervical cancer screening and follow-up management of abnormal results.
  • Evaluate and treat sexually transmitted infections and provide reproductive health counseling.
  • Identify high-risk pregnancies and coordinate referral and co-management with tertiary care institutions.
  • Partner with nursing and care management teams to ensure timely postpartum and post-hospital follow-up.
  • Support evidence-based maternal health practices consistent with FQHC and value-based care standards.
  • Supervise and review certified midwives clinical care and other obstetrical and/or gynecological staff in conjunction with the Medical Director and/or Director of Nursing.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to strengthen and advance women’s health programming.
  • Assist with development and refinement of workflow plans for triage, referral, and co-management of pregnant patients.
  • Help design structured processes ensuring seamless coordination between the FQHC and hospital partners.
  • Contribute to improving access, reducing disparities, and enhancing maternal health outcomes.
  • Assist in the education and professional development of interdisciplinary teams related to women’s health and pre-natal care.
  • Provide clinical guidance to ensure consistent, evidence-based women’s health practices across sites.
  • Serve as a collaborative clinical resource supporting team-based maternal and reproductive health care.
  • Participate in clinical quality initiatives related to prenatal, postpartum, and preventive care.
  • Utilize and interpret clinical quality data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to performance improvement initiatives supporting regulatory and organizational goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration across departments.
  • Support community-based clinical outreach efforts when appropriate.
  • Participate in evening and/or weekend responsibilities as needed to support operations and outreach initiatives.
