About The Position

Munson Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate OB/GYN physician to join our team in Gaylord, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of women’s healthcare in our region with the opening of a brand-new state-of-the-art birthing center in summer 2026. Averaging over 500 births per year, we promote an active robotics program and support advanced gynecologic care to our community and beyond. Striving for a 1:5 call model, our highly skilled care team is anchored with seasoned OB/GYNs, certified nurse midwives, FM/OBs and a clinic with a 1:1 medical assistant model. Teaching opportunities are available through rotations with our flagship tertiary care center's Michigan State University-affiliated Family Medicine Residency Program. Additionally, our practice is supported by Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians from the University of Michigan and can be consulted 24/7 or seen in our Traverse City office for ongoing care needs. Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Successful completion of an approved U.S. Residency training program approved by the Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) of the American Medical Association, or the American Osteopathic Association or its equivalent.
  • Board eligible/certified for OB/GYN practice in the State of Michigan
  • NRP, BLS, EFM certified
