About The Position

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality obstetrical care for laboring patients, ensuring safe deliveries and optimal care for both mother and newborn. This position involves working on-site in the labor and delivery unit, providing 24/7 coverage as needed, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Requirements

  • MD or DO board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Current BLS or ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based medicine and best practices to provide a high level of care that is compassionate and responsive to patient needs and expectations.
  • Admit, manage, and deliver Women’s Care obstetrical patients.
  • Assesses and documents patient status through chart review, interview, and physical examination.
  • Analyzes records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Prescribes or administers therapies, medications, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. Monitors patients' conditions and progress and reevaluates treatments as necessary.
  • Performs surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely.
  • Rounds on hospitalized, antepartum and post-operative patients, and as needed Midwife oversight/consults.
  • Maintains a moderate level of productivity and bills for work performed in a timely manner.
  • Provides medical care, consultation, and collaboration, coordination, and referral services.
  • Participates in the practice’s call program which include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
