About The Position

Per Diem Ob/Gyn Hospitalists - South Bend, IN - Great Location between Detroit and Chicago ! Responsibilities A successful OB hospitalist program should be a collaboration among your hospital's staff and affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians and sub-specialists. Our experienced, board-eligible or board-certified OB Hospitalists at Memorial South Bend Hospital provide OB triage, admissions inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost-effective, cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. 24-hour shifts providing OB Hospitalist care working side by side with an outstanding group of neonatologists and maternal fetal medicine physicians; the option for 12 hour shifts is available Engage with Obsterix MFM physicians to provide quality care for antepartum & intrapartum high-risk patients. Collaborate with a robust Certified Nurse Midwife practice of 7 providers. Coordinate care with the Pediatrix Neonatology physicians for the best neonatal outcomes in the region. Level III NICU & Level III Perinatal Center Level II trauma center, MedFlight, and specialized Maternal OB transport team. 10 birthing suites and an average of 3 deliveries per 24 hour shift and annual deliveries of approximately 2,000 Participate in teaching activities and other clinical activities associated with the OB Hospitalist program Located between Chicago and Detroit - Near the University of Notre Dame and 30-45 minutes from Lake Michigan Qualifications Must be Board Certified OBGYN Active IN license or IMLC compact preferred Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience required Recent clinical OBGYN experience required (within the last 12 months) Seeking per diem providers for ongoing coverage needs Benefits and Compensation Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice. We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position. Requirements

  • Must be Board Certified OBGYN
  • Active IN license or IMLC compact preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience required
