Under indirect supervision, performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produces ultrasonic recordings of internal organs, which are used by physicians to diagnose disease processes and delineate both normal and abnormal human anatomy as well as pathological conditions in the organs of the abdomen, superficial structures such as the pelvis, gravid uterus and other areas of the human body as well as obstetrics (e.g., evaluation of fetal presentation, amniotic fluid volume, cardiac activity, placental position, fetal biometry, and fetal number, plus anatomic survey, maternal uterus and Adnexa, fetal biophysical profile, amniocentesis, fetal Doppler sonography, fetal echocardiogram, or additional biometric measurements, chorionic villus sampling, embryo transfer, and localization and removal of an intrauterine device).
