As an OB Tech on our team, you will assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. May perform direct and indirect patient care including vitals, hygiene measures, and basic care for antepartum, postpartum and newborn patients. OB Techs functions include: Assists with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. Functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit. Assists with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. Performs clerical and business support tasks as assigned. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. Day to Day Duties: Scrub for C- Sections, D&C's. Set up and take down instruments for vaginal deliveries. Cleaning, stocking, and preparation of patient rooms. Stocking of equipment and supplies. Assisting RNs as required. Additional secretarial duties per needs of unit. Answering phones, door, computer entry in EPIC Software program. 1 OR Suite (Separate from Main OR) 40 Births per month Schedule: PRN-variable per surgical volume and current unit needs Per policy PRN requires a Min availability for 5 shifts in a 6 week schedule block and 2 holiday per year
