About The Position
As a Health Information Clerk at Oakwood Springs, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining patient medical records in a behavioral health setting. Oakwood Springs, in partnership with Lifepoint Behavioral Health and Springstone, is a 72-bed facility located in Oklahoma City, specializing in compassionate behavioral health services. Our focus is on crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment for acute mental health and substance use disorders. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our patients through a psychosocial model of care aimed at reducing suicide rates, addiction-related deaths, and enhancing community productivity. In this position, you will assist in administering health information services that comply with accreditation and regulatory standards, as well as facility-specific guidelines. Your responsibilities will include implementing policies and procedures for documenting, storing, and retrieving patient information, processing medical legal documents, and handling insurance data and correspondence requests. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient medical records and ensuring that all documentation meets the required standards. Adherence to HIPAA guidelines is essential in this role to protect patient confidentiality and information security.
