Requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and respond positively to feedback.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% and lift 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed investigations to locate absent parents and verify employment.
  • Assist in establishing paternity and obtaining court orders for financial support.
  • Enforce child support orders and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Negotiate lump sum payments and out-of-court settlements with noncustodial parents.
  • Document all case actions using agency tools, including TXCSES.
  • Review and maintain child support virtual files for accuracy.
  • Attend court to assist legal staff as needed.
  • Research case information and maintain knowledge of child support policies and procedures.
  • Explain Child Support Program policies to customers and assess complaints against the program.
  • Serve as Notary Public and perform related work as assigned.
