About The Position

BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world, dedicated to advancing health through innovative solutions. We are looking for an Assembler 1, General, who will play a crucial role in our production processes. This position requires a basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Assembler will be responsible for transporting materials, following GMP and standard operating procedures, and ensuring a safe work environment. The role also involves completing operator training and being available for overtime and additional projects as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED are required.
• 3 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment (similar position).
• Able to read, write, and understand Basic English preferred.
• Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand/pallet jack is preferred.
• Problem solving skills is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Possess a basic understanding of production processes within area of assignment and a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Follow GMP and standard operating procedures.
• Transport materials of varying weight in accordance with established safety guidelines using material handling equipment and additional assistance as required.
• Demonstrates adherence to safety procedures by monitoring personal and peer behaviors, work environment and housekeeping.
• Available for overtime as needed.
• Perform all duties with attention to quality, safety, and environmental matters such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, identifying, reporting, and appropriately responding to hazards in the work area.
• Assume responsibility for the environmental effects of work performed and for the identification and recording of environmental problems as they arise.
• Complete all regulatory training as assigned (GPM, ISO14001, OSHA, etc.).
• Complete Operator Training Program according to established guidelines.
• Be available for other projects or assignments as requested by management.
• Looking for ways to simplify or improve products, services, systems, and processes.
