About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an O & M Specialist, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The successful candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Open to internal and external candidates. The successful candidate will support assigned Manufacturing work activities and coordinate with multiple departments or groups with Operations and Maintenance and Project Management functions to include but not limited to detailed planning of FY budgets, load to the project management’s e-tool, prepares project narratives for CAM’s review/approval and monitor project performance throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience totaling five to seven years
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

  • Prior experience in producing Manufacturing’s CDRL monthly reports and annual Shop & Lab Plan is a plus
  • Ability to work self-directed with limited daily oversight in performance of O&M Specialist duties, including working towards specific objectives as requested
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate clearly and effectively (verbally and written with O&M Function personnel, TOS Contract Management and the AF
  • Ability to anticipate, deal with, and adjust to changing priorities and multiple groups setting priorities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC systems and office software applications, including Email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, etc.
  • Ability to learn AEDC CMMS (as demonstrated by working with various O&M related software packages)
  • Must have the necessary people skills and attitude to fully embrace and support the Company position on Safety
  • Experience working with AEDC CMMS totaling two (2) years with demonstrated knowledge of AEDC CMMS (esp. regarding Work Requests, Work Orders, and Ordering Materials)
  • Familiarity with procurement and work management (planning, scheduling, work prioritization, etc.) processes
  • Experience with continuous improvement projects

Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly status updates to Project Plans
  • Responsible for meeting monthly process deadlines
  • Identifies and documents impact/issue disconnects associated with project schedule/cost
  • Prepares estimate to complete; record variance documentation accumulative and to-date cost variance, schedule variance and variance at complete
  • Advises management on project activities by keeping them informed on any potential issues concerning Manufacturing project performance or budget concerns
  • Monitors all labor and material charges to Manufacturing projects using PS-Financials and Oracle BI reports
  • Responsible for Project Cost transfers and Adjustments if needed
  • Coordinates with Management, Planning & Scheduling and Chem Lab/prepares final draft for management approval and submits to Contracts
  • Responsible for Manufacturing’s Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) monthly reports and annual Shop & Lab Plan
  • Coordinates/piles data for the Award Fee Self Evaluations; mid- and final-period reports and metrics. Prepare drafts for management approval then submits to our Air Force Liaison and company management
  • Develop, maintain, update and track Manufacturing performance metrics (18+). This includes running/modifying PS-Financial data queries for data requirements
  • Monitor/tracks Manufacturing preventive maintenance (PMs) work order process on critical machines for schedule efficiency metric update
  • Prepares and monitors Work Requests for corrective maintenance activities
  • Supports the HAZMAT ESSOH-MIS requirements for the MS crews, and maintains the HAZCOM Notebook for Manufacturing
  • Supports key members of Manufacturing’s SLC. Enters safety findings, updates statuses and monitors the SLC tracking database
  • Generates and follows-up on WR/WO for corrective actions
  • Provides monthly reports for management approval and submittal to Safety
  • Compiles data and generate metrics to measure the safety performance for Manufacturing’s Recordable Injury rate in relation to the Manufacturing Industry Standard
  • Maintain/updates the Manufacturing Call-Down Roster
  • Responsible for Manufacturing’s Customer Survey Program
  • Maintain the Machine Maintenance Reliability database tracking status of machine repairs—active/closed, etc. Weekly status and Master spreadsheets. This includes entry of monthly run-time entries in WAM monthly for approximately 130-140 machines.
  • Create and maintain metrics for each machine
  • Monitors/tracks actuals for MS Critical Jobs List. Updates actuals weekly from PS-Financials
  • Supports MS operations to include, but not limited to: OWAM2 requisitions material and services for Manufacturing Orders office supplies via Staples ordering system
  • Assist employees in preparing training/travel paperwork for approval, reservations/arrangements, when/if needed; prepare expense reports upon traveler's return and submit for approval
  • Assist employees in completing training requirements
  • Maintains office supplies ensuring supplies are available when needed
  • Create and maintain overhead work orders for the Manufacturing projects
  • Update toolbox inventory lists for the Manufacturing custodians and submits to Tool Control for posting when help is needed
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
