About The Position

The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Analyst will support the performance, reliability, and optimization of our solar energy portfolio. This position is a blend of data-driven analysis with operations support. The role will monitor PV system performance, identifying and identifying system faults and supporting resolution through analysis and remote troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement across the operating assets. You will be responsible for analyzing performance data, tracking outages, maintaining accurate asset records, and performing analyses to support field technicians. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports and leverage solar monitoring platforms to help maximize energy production and system uptime. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical professional with a passion for renewable energy to contribute directly to the efficiency and success of Verogy’s solar assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in solar O&M functions, asset management, performance analysis, or related areas.
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suit, especially Excel for formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting
  • Understanding of solar PV system design, inverters, stringing, and energy production.
  • Experience working with asset management, CMMS, or ticketing platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities without constant supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify trends and anomalies in large data sets.
  • Clear writing and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with the AlsoEnergy, inverter portals such as CPS, Solar Edge, SMA, or SCADA systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable working with multiple software platforms and learning new tools quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor real-time and historical performance of solar PV systems using monitoring platforms such as AlsoEngergy, inverter portals, and SCADA systems.
  • Identify underperforming assets, faults, and anomalies through data analysis and alert reviews.
  • Generate and maintain performance, availability, and production reports for internal teams and additional stakeholders.
  • Support O&M field technicians by providing data, diagnostics, and system insights prior to site visits.
  • Track outages, downtime, service tickets, and resolution timelines.
  • Maintain and improve data quality across O&M systems, including asset lists, site configurations, and monitoring data.
  • Analyze trends in system performance, failures, and degradation to help drive reliability improvements.
  • Assist with root cause analysis for recurring issues and equipment failures.
  • Support warranty, vendor, and service claims by providing performance data and documentation.
  • Help develop and refine O&M processes, dashboards, and KPIs.
