About The Position

The O'Fallon FM Triage Medical Assistant (MA) position is a vital role within SSM Health, focused on assisting with the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of healthcare providers. This remote-eligible position requires a proactive approach to patient care, ensuring a safe and efficient environment while performing clinical and clerical duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• For Wisconsin ONLY: High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience and graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by the provider under supervision.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering phones and maintaining records.
• Manages materials by ordering and stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
