The English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher will be familiar with the Bilingual Common Core progressions and responsible for developing an ENL curriculum appropriate to the NYS mandated regulations for services at the grade/ability level of the student being taught. The ENL teacher will maintain appropriate student records and is responsible for assessing students per NYS regulations. The ENL teacher must be flexible and able to work as a member of a team. The teacher will perform other duties as assigned. The ENL/ELL Teacher will support the Leadership Team by providing instructional support to ensure that all of our students are reading at his or her potential. In addition, the ENL Support Teacher will collaborate with the ELL Specialist to provide professional development to support the sharing of best practices and use of ELL strategies across all subject areas.
