About The Position

We are looking for a Nylon Coater to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 1st shift schedule. You will coat parts with nylon. What You’ll Do: Coat parts with nylon using the fluidized bed application method. It requires the total understanding of the coating process along with the manual dexterity to pick the part up from the conveyor belt with a hook, move the part over to fluid bed box containing the powdered nylon, dip the part into the powder and move it around using the motion that is correct for that part geometry and then place the part onto the cooling rack. This must be accomplished in an efficient manner before the parts cool off. Ensure the oven and fluid bed settings are correct and that the color of the nylon is correct. Help with the shipping and receiving of parts into and out of the facility. This requires the ability to count parts accurately and record information accurately. Priming parts. Requires the manual spraying of parts. Must also be able to visually differentiate and segregate parts. Load parts onto the conveyor belt of the primary heating oven.Remove coated parts from cooling racks, strip them from the hangers/hooks and return the hangers/hooks to the coating area for re-use.Remove the nylon coating from the rivet holes by drilling-out the holes on a drill press. Visual inspection of finished part prior to packing for shipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
