Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Soiled Linen Separator at our Atlanta Location Healthcare Laundry facility. We are looking for someone confident in decision-making, who can act quickly, and has excellent communication skills. The successful candidate: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Perform tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. • Separate, fold, and properly distribute clean linen. • Inspect clean linen to ensure all quality standards have been met. • Pouch and label sterile product utilizing the heat-sealing machine. • Work within established productivity and quality standards. • Make recommendations to facility management for methods of improvement. • Mentor and train fellow associates after mastery of tasks. • Ability to read and understand all Standard Operating Procedures. • Keep workstation neat and clean. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Education, GED, and formal education/training preferred. Good analytical skills to be able to determine the number of carts required for orders. 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or the service industry Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items from the machine for long periods. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds. Demonstrated customer service and organization skills. Physical Requirements: Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting 50 lbs. or more. Constant pushing/pulling of laundry carts with weights of 250 lbs. is common with some cart weights exceeding 600 lbs. Must be able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift. Work Environment: Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, noise, odors, humidity, lint, dust, chemicals, and other hazards. Education: High School or GED 1 to 2 years of experience in the health care, manufacturing or similarly situated industries. Requirements
