About the position

Nuuly is seeking a passionate and motivated Web Software Engineer to join our team. As a member of our engineering team, you'll contribute to building and maintaining intuitive, user-friendly web interfaces, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and developing features that support our customers and business growth. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of web user interfaces for Nuuly.
  • Write clean, readable, and maintainable code, with guidance from senior developers.
  • Support the design and development of front-end systems using modern JavaScript frameworks, with a focus on Vue.js and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to implement user-facing features.
  • Learn to incorporate performance, scalability, and accessibility improvements into development work.
  • Stay updated with the latest web development trends and best practices and apply them as you grow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent certification.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git (GitHub).
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and JSON.
  • Some experience or familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
  • Understanding of state management concepts (e.g., Redux, Vuex/Pinia).
  • Exposure to unit testing frameworks like Jest/Vitest (or a willingness to learn).
  • Basic understanding of RESTful web services and HTTP protocols (status codes, methods).
  • Awareness of SEO and accessibility practices.
  • Comfortable using browser developer tools for debugging.
  • Familiar with writing responsive web design using semantic HTML/CSS.
  • A desire to learn about UX/UI design systems and best practices.
  • 1-3 years or more experience with front-end web development projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic experience with TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with CSS/JS preprocessors like SCSS or Babel.
  • Basic understanding of build tools like Webpack or Vite.
  • Interest in building web applications and learning backend integration.
  • Willingness to collaborate and receive feedback during code reviews.
