About The Position

Are you interested in Providing routine nutrition care to high-risk participants? Do you want to work where your professional growth and development are a priority? Do you have at least one year experience in clinical or community nutrition.? Are you willing to provide comprehensive health care of the highest quality to everyone in our community, regardless of ability to pay? In this role you will: Perform nutrition assessment and certification, counseling, nutrition education and referrals for residents at the Deborah Smith Walsh Recuperative Care Center. Develop educational materials for demonstrations, audio-visual presentations, or other educational activities for participants. Collect anthropometric and hematological data. Participate in quality assurance activities. Provide follow-up nutrition education. Participate in nutrition in services and in policy-making staff meetings. The successful applicant will offer: Bachelor’s degree in public health nutrition, nutrition, food, and nutrition; R.D. preferred. Bilingual helpful. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities. History of good attendance and positive work attitude. Good communications skills and interpersonal skills. Prioritization and organizational skills. Sensitivity to the needs of the client population. Must be available to work at multiple sites, Saturdays, and during evening hours. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health nutrition, nutrition, food, and nutrition; R.D. preferred. Bilingual helpful.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities.
