Who are we? • The North Carolina Early Intervention Section is a part of the Division of Child and Family Well-Being. It is the lead agency for the N.C. Infant-Toddler Program which provides supports and services for families and their children, birth to three, who have developmental delays and/or disabilities. • Children's Developmental Services Agencies (CDSAs) are the local agencies that implement the NC ITP across North Carolina, working with local service providers to help families help their children succeed. The primary purpose of the Nutritionist position is to provide comprehensive, complex nutrition evaluation and treatment services to children ages birth to three with a variety of medical/nutritional problems and developmental disabilities, chronic illnesses, or those characterized as medically high risk who are referred to or enrolled in the Infant Toddler Program. Services must be provided in compliance with Federal and State regulations for the Infant/Toddler Program, including providing services to the family in the child’s natural learning environment such as the home.
