A Non-Merit vacancy exists in Clinical Services/Women, Infants & Children (WIC), Department of Health and Human Services. Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan. A list of eligible applicants will be established based on the examination as outlined below. Current and future vacancies occurring in any Office or Department of Baltimore County General Government may be filled from the list of eligible applicants.   • Plans, implements, conducts, and evaluates programs providing various nutrition services such as nutrition assessment, counseling, and education.
  • Supervises subordinate staff.
  • Develops and implements the nutrition education component of public health programs.
  • Conducts studies of local nutritional needs and resources.
  • Provides advice, consultation, and guidance to human service providers, community organizations, and individuals regarding nutrition.
  • Researches, prepares, and presents reports on nutrition and related health topics.
  • Researches and responds to requests and inquiries from the public and staff.
  • Assists in developing grant proposals and justifications.
  • Prepares and administers program budgets.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in nutrition, nutrition education, dietetics, or a related field.
  • At least three years' professional experience in human nutrition or dietetics.
  • Current registration as a Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association.
  • Licensure as a Nutritionist by the Maryland Board of Dietetic Practice.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial, Class C Maryland driver's license.
  • Supervisory experience with professional and support staff.
  • Bilingual skills.
